What sewing machine is the best?

There's two sewing machines iv seen but i dont know what the difference is or which ones the better one. The first is a bog standard machine with the one foot, reel and 12 different stitches. The other has 4 thread reels, twin needles and does overlock, overedge and cover stitches. Which one is better for general sewing and making clothes?? thanks

Sewing machine: my top thread keeps snapping off and my bottom thread sometimes gets stuck?
